CM Mann remembers Lal Bahadur Shastri on his death anniversary

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann remembered Lal Bahadur Shastri on his death anniversary. He paid tributes through a post on X.

He said, “Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, the second Prime Minister of India, who gave the slogan “Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan” will remain immortal for the rest of the world… Today, on the occasion of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji’s death anniversary, respectful obeisance.”

Lal Bahadur Shastri is mainly remembered for his contributions during freedom struggle as well as 2^nd Prime Minister of India. He served as Prime Minister from 1964 to 1966. During the 1965 Indo-Pak war, Shastri ji coined the slogan ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisian.’
