CM Mann reviews Govt schemes, directs DCs to utilize allocated funds

Talking about recent Chandigarh Mayor elections, CM said that the matter is already in the High Court and for the early hearing, AAP will also approach Supreme Court.

Chandigarh: Following meeting with DCs of all districts, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann addressed a press conference in which he shared all the details of the meeting held. Meeting with DCs was held in Chandigarh to  discuss the progress of developmental works going on in various districts. CM also reviewed the work going on of different schemes of the government.

Addressing the press conference, CM said that there was a review meeting regarding the implementation of public welfare schemes and the report of ongoing schemes was sought from the DCs. In the meeting, issues including stubble burning, ‘Sarkar Tuhade Dwar’, etc. were discussed.

Giving details of Mohalla Clinics, CM said, “98 lakh people have got treatment from Mahalla clinics and 150 more clinics will soon be dedicated to the public. It has been implemented from January 26 that doctors will provide medicines to the patients from inside the hospitals. If there is no medicine then the doctor will buy it from outside and will provide that medicine to the patient free of cost.

“We have reached the Supreme Court regarding RDF funds. There will be a hearing on it next week. The hearing will be held in the court of Justice Chandrachur”, said CM Mann about the RDF funds. CM directed all DCs to utilize funds allocated for various schemes as soon as possible.
