Youth died in road accident on Barnala-Moga National Highway

Due to the negligence of the toll plaza on the Barnala-Moga National Highway, a painful accident occured in which one youth has died, while the other is seriously injured. The victim’s family members told that 21-year-old Amritpal Singh, son of Gurjant Singh and his friend Jagseer Singh were returning from Nihal Singh Wala towards Barnala.

Due to the negligence of the toll plaza on the Barnala-Moga National Highway, a painful accident occured in which one youth has died, while the other is seriously injured. The victim’s family members told that 21-year-old Amritpal Singh, son of Gurjant Singh and his friend Jagseer Singh were returning from Nihal Singh Wala towards Barnala in their Maruti car.

When he reached the village Mallian toll plaza, his Maruti car collided with the stone walls of the toll plaza as there were no electric lights and no signboard. Due to which Amritpal Singh died on the spot and his friend Jagseer Singh was seriously injured.

He has been admitted to Bathinda’s Aadesh Hospital, whose condition is also said to be critical. He told that the deceased Amritpal Singh was the only son of his two sisters and widowed mother. He was to go to Canada on February 15 to fulfill his parents’ dream.
Regarding this matter, investigating police officer Balwinder Singh said that one youth has died and another youth is injured in this road accident. Based on the statement of the relatives of the deceased, a case has been registered and legal action is being taken.

Panchayats and farmer organizations said – Barnala-Moga National Highway will be blocked on 12th February

On this occasion, Sarpanch Taranjit Singh Duggal, Sarpanch Harsaran Singh, District President of Bharatiya Kisan Union Kadian Organization Jagseer Singh Chhiniwal and District President of Congress Party Kuldeep Singh Kala Dhillon demanded strict legal action against the officials responsible for the toll.
