CM Mann to launch Ghar-Ghar Free Ration Scheme today, Delhi CM Kejriwal to be the Chief Guest

It will be launched from Khanna which is Asia's largest grain market.

Khanna: With an aim to provide free and fresh Ration to people of the state, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will launch ‘Ghar-Ghar Free Ration’ scheme today. The first phase of the scheme will be launched today which will cover nearly 24 lakh people.

It will be launched from Khanna which is Asia’s largest grain market. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will also be present on this occasion. For this, a state level function is also being organized in Khanna. This has been named AAP’s Maharally.

It is reported that before the rally, CM Mann will go to village Salna in Halka Amloh of Fatehgarh Sahib. It is being told that in this village, CM Mann himself will start the ritual of giving ration by visiting homes. After this he will come to Khanna for a rally. MLA Tarunpreet Singh Saundh said that after distributing ration at every door, ration vehicles will be flagged off in Khanna’s Rahaun Mandi.

About 25 vehicles will be sent from here for ration delivery. Delivery will be done by Markfed. In the first phase, 24 lakh 49 thousand people are being given the benefit of this scheme by the Punjab Government. They will get ration every month. In the second phase, all the beneficiaries of Attadal Yojana can come under the purview of this scheme.
