CAA will be implemented before Lok Sabha elections : Amit Shah

CAA will not take away the citizenship of any person. Its purpose is to give citizenship only to Pakistani, Afghan and Bangladeshi minorities facing religious persecution.

New Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party is currently busy preparing for the Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has made a big announcement. He said that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) will be implemented in the entire country before the Lok Sabha elections.

Actually, he has announced this during a program. He said, “I want to make it clear that CAA will not take away the citizenship of any person. Its purpose is to give citizenship only to Pakistani, Afghan and Bangladeshi minorities facing religious persecution.”

Congress had promised it
Amit Shah said that this is also a promise of Congress. He said, “When the country was divided and minorities were tortured there. They all wanted to come to India. At that time Congress had said that you come here, you will be given citizenship here.”

The Union Home Minister accused the opposition of misleading Muslims. He said, “Our Muslim brothers are being misled and provoked about CAA. CAA is only to give citizenship to religious minorities of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.”
