Case lodged against Majithia during Congress Government

The case was registered during the time of Congress government. The police had registered this case against Majithia on 20 December 2021, before the implementation of the code of conduct for the assembly elections. Majithia was arrested under NDPS act.

Majithia had fought a long legal battle in this case. Then his arrest was postponed by the court for two months. He also contested elections from Amritsar. After spending 5 months in jail, Majithia got bail on 10 August 2022.

Majithia has alleged that no charge sheet has been filed yet in the case in which he has returned from jail. This is a unique NDPS case imposed on him, in which the police did not make any recovery.
