A boy killed after being hit by speeding school van in Samrala, mother injured

The school bus driver escaped after the incident. He shifted the school children to another bus. The victims were taken to hospital where the man's condition is reported to be critical.

Ludhiana A speeding school van mowed down a four-and-a-half year old boy in Lopon village, Samrala. The victim’s mother and maternal uncle also suffered injuries in the incident.

The school ferrying 10 students who remain unhurt. The deceased boy was identified as Yashraj singh of Khanna. Those injured include Taranjit kaur and Inderjit singh mother and maternal uncle of the deceased. Taranjit kaur had gone to her parents house in Samrala. Her brother was going to drop them in Khanna. According to police the victims were travelling when the speeding chool van rammed into their bike. Passersby took them to hospital and informed the police.
