Giani Raghbir Singh has compared this entire incident with the atrocities committed by the British on Indians in Jallianwala Bagh. He said that this incident happening in a democratic country is condemnable.
Giani Raghbir Singh issued a message saying that the incident of death of a Punjabi youth and serious injuries to many others due to direct firing by police on farmers near Khanauri is very sad. These farmers are the ones who feed the country, not infiltrators from other countries, whose heads and chests are being pierced by the government by firing live bullets.
Governments using their rights to stop the demonstration of farmers going to Delhi is no less than the atrocities committed by the British against Indians in Jallianwala Bagh.

Giani Raghbir Singh said that the slogan of the people of our country has been, Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan. Because the soldier guards the borders of the country and the farmer feeds the country by growing food in the fields. But it is sad that today our soldiers are getting shot while protecting the borders and our own government is getting the police to fire bullets on the farmers for demanding their rights. This is highly condemnable for a democratic country. Such an approach is not good for the future of the country.
