BKU Chaduni blocked Jammu-Amritsar National Highway in Gurdaspur, protested against atrocities on farmers

Inderpal Singh demanded that justice should be given to the farmers who died in this movement.

Gurdaspur: Today, under the chairmanship of Punjab Youth Head of Bharatiya Kisan Union Chaduni, Inderpal Singh Bhains, a protest was held on the Jammu Amritsar National Highway in Gurdaspur.

The protest was held against the atrocities on the farmers who are agitating on the Shambhu border for their agricultural demands. The farmers also protested against the death of farmers during the agitation.

Farmers of BKU in their protest against the Central Government blocked  the road. Inderpal Singh said that on the instigation of the Central Government, the Haryana Police is firing tear gas shells and bullets at the farmers.

 He added that a young farmer Shubkaran Singh died on the spot due to bullet injury yesterday. He said that till now four farmers have died in this movement. Despite 4 meetings of the farmers with the Central Government, the demands of the farmers were not accepted, due to which today Bhartiya Kisan Union Chaduni expressed its anger in the form of protest at Jammu- Amritsar Highway.

 The National Highway was blocked for 2 hours and traffic was stopped from all sides. Inderpal Singh demanded that justice should be given to the farmers who died in this movement. He even added that if this does not happen, then on the request of the farmer leaders, they will be forced to go to Delhi.
