Farmers’ Protest: March on hold till February 29, Candle Marches to be taken out today

The major decision about the movement will be taken in the meetings and will be announced on February 29th.

New Delhi: The Farmer Organization has deferred its move towards Delhi until February 29th and will announce the next action plan on February 29th.

In the late night press conference by the farmers leaders, it was decided that movement towards Delhi will be paused till February 29th and meanwhile actions will be taken at ground level.

Candle Marches will be taken out across the country on February 24th, i.e. today in the memory of deceased Youth Farmer Shubh Karan Singh and the other farmers who have lost their lives during this movement.

The following day, on February 25th, farmers will be made aware about the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and the effigies of WTO will be burn on February 26th in all villages of the country and at Shambhu and Khanauri borders too.

National level meetings of both the forums will be held in the coming next two days. The major decision about the movement will be taken in the meetings and will be announced on February 29th.

Farmer leader said that agitators have till now very meekly and patiently resisted the repression of the government. He said that it is our clear statement that it is not a question of our desire to go to Delhi.

He added that if the government accepts all the demands, then the agitators will go back, but without accepting the demands, the call of the Delhi march cannot be withdrawn. He appealed people across the country to reach the front in maximum number and fight battle of farmers.
