Himachal team wins Khelo India Winter Games organized in Gulmarg, captures 7 medals

Players of Himachal Pradesh team have given their best performance in the ongoing Khelo India Winter Games in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir.

Gulmarg : Players of Himachal Pradesh team have given their best performance in the ongoing Khelo India Winter Games in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir. In this winter sports competition, Himachal players have captured a total of seven medals including two gold medals in men’s and women’s category.

Khelo India Winter Games is being organized in Gulmarg from 21 to 25 February. In which Himachal team has won the gold medal in the ski mountaineering race. At the second place, the team of Uttarakhand has been the winner. In the Snow Bird women’s category, Himachal’s Prati Thakur won gold, Pragati won silver and Deeksha Thakur won bronze.

Apart from this, Pranab Thakur has won silver medal in men’s category. International skiers Aanchal Thakur has also won gold medal in Joint Salalam Ski. Apart from this, Tanuja Thakur has won silver medal and Pramila Thakur has won bronze medal. 51 players from Himachal Pradesh have gone to Gulmarg to participate in this competition.

President of Himachal Pradesh Winter Games Organization, Ludar Chand Thakur said that till now the Himachal team has won 7 medals and it is expected that many more medals will still be won by the players. He told that even before this, the players of Himachal Pradesh have brought glory to Himachal Pradesh by their excellent performance in national and international winter games.
