See what he write in letter

It has been brought to our attention by the families of Sikh youth detained in Dibrugarh jail in Assam that these youth are being deliberately harassed inside the jail. It has reached us that spy cameras and recorders have been installed inside their barracks in violation of privacy.

They are not being provided food and health facilities as per their requirement. In protest against this, the families of these Sikh youth have started a hunger strike in Sri Amritsar for the last four days and their health has also started deteriorating.

It feels as if some conspiracy is being hatched against these youth inside the jail. Violation of their human rights cannot be accepted, therefore, as the chief servant of Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, the representative organization of Sikhs, I ask you to consider this matter seriously.

Instead of treating the youth of Punjab like strangers, the government should move towards solving the issue seriously. Since these Sikh youth belong to Punjab, their detention should also be kept in the jail of Punjab only. Therefore, Bhai Amritpal Singh and other Sikh youth lodged in Dibrugarh jail of Assam should be immediately transferred to Punjab jails and their human rights and privacy concerns should be ensured.
