Delhi Capitals bowler Arundhati fined for violating WPL code

Delhi Capitals fast bowler Arundhati Reddy has been fined 10 per cent of her match fee for violating the code of conduct.

Bengaluru: Delhi Capitals fast bowler Arundhati Reddy has been fined 10 per cent of her match fee for violating the code of conduct of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) during the match against UP Warriors here.

The 26-year-old took one wicket in Delhi Capitals’ nine-wicket win against UP Warriors at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday. WPL said in a statement, “Delhi Capitals’ Arundhati Reddy was charged with violation of the WPL Code of Conduct during the match played against UP Warriors at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday.

A fine of 10 percent of the match fee has been imposed. According to the statement, “Arundhati has admitted to a Level 1 offense under Article 2.1 of the WPL Code of Conduct. In case of a Level 1 breach of the Code of Conduct, the match referee’s decision is final.
