Himachal Govt releases notification of 4% DA to employees from April 1

Himachal Government issued an official Memorandum announcing to pay four percent Dearness Allowance to the State Government employees from next month.

Shimla : Fulfilling the budget promise, the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu headed Congress government on Saturday issued an official Memorandum announcing to pay four percent Dearness Allowance to the State Government employees from next month.


In a notification issued after the Cabinet meeting today, Principle Secretary, Finance said that the enhanced Dearness Allowance at four percent would be granted with effect from April 1, 2024.
The government would enhance the existing DA rate frorm 34 per cent to 38 per cent to the government employees and officers.


These orders would also be applicable to the officers of All India Services, HP Judicial Services officers and the State Government employees covered by the UGC pay scales.


This additional Dearness Allowance shall be paid in cash with the salary of April, 2024 payable in May, 2024 and the arrears accrued from July 1, 2022 onwards should be paid in the manner as may be prescribed on this account by separate orders.


Other terms and conditions as contained in official memorandum dated 3rd January, 2022 shall continue to be applicable.
The announcement would benifit the 2.66 lakh employees across the state.


The Chief minister presenting the 2024-25 annual budget on February 17 stated that government would issue notification of DA in month of March as about 12 percent DA is due to employees of the state which likely to paid in three installments.
