Haryana BJP MP Brijendra Singh left Party, join congress Kharge’s residence Delhi, post resignation on social media account

Chandigarh: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Hisar Brijendra Singh being felicitated by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge as he joins the party, at Kharge’s residence, in New Delhi on Sunday. Haryana’s Hisar MP Brijendra Singh has left BJP. On Sunday, he gave information about his resignation on social media. He said that I was leaving.

Haryana’s Hisar MP Brijendra Singh has left BJP. On Sunday, he gave information about his resignation on social media. He said that I was leaving BJP due to political reasons. In Delhi, he joined the Congress party at the residence of Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge.

However, no information has been received yet about his father, former Union Minister Chaudhary Birendra Singh, leaving the BJP and joining the Congress. Brijendra Singh is the grand-grandson of farmer leader Sir Chhotu Ram. His father, former Union Minister Chaudhary Birendra Singh’s mother, was the daughter of Bhagwan Devi Sir Chhotu Ram. Father and son were continuously advocating BJP to break its alliance with JJP in Haryana.

After joining Congress, Brijendra Singh said – “Today I am resigning from BJP and joining Congress.” I express my gratitude to the entire leadership of the party. Along with this, I would like to say that there were some political reasons due to which I had to take this decision. There were some issues of farmers, regarding which I was uncomfortable in BJP. Under compulsion, I had to take this decision.
BJP MP from Hisar Chaudhary Brijendra Singh informed about his resignation on social media (X). He wrote on X that ‘I have resigned from the primary membership of BJP due to political reasons. I express my gratitude to the party, National President JP Nadda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Amit Shah for allowing me to serve as a Member of Parliament from Hisar.

Decision taken due to ticket cancellation
Till Sunday afternoon, no list of BJP candidates for Haryana has come yet, but the buzz is that the names of 6 candidates have been finalized in the first list. In which the matter of Brijendra Singh’s ticket being canceled or not getting the seat as per his wish is coming to the fore. Seeing these circumstances, Brijendra decided to leave BJP. It is also being told that big Congress leaders of the state have assured him of the ticket.

JJP’s path clear
After the resignation of Brijendra Singh, the path has now been cleared for BJP’s government ally JJP in Haryana. According to sources, now BJP can give one Lok Sabha seat to alliance partner JJP in Haryana. There is a possibility that JJP Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala may be made the candidate from Hisar Lok Sabha’s seat. However, JJP leaders are still doubtful about the alliance, the reason being that till now no clear indication has been given by the central leadership of BJP regarding this.
Decision after six months of announcement
Former Union Minister Chaudhary Birendra Singh held a “Meri Awaaz Suno” rally in Jind on 2 October 2023. Here he had announced he to leave the party if the BJP-JJP alliance continued. MP son Brijendra Singh had supported his father’s decision. He had said during that time that he had freed himself from bondage to take the decision. Brijendra resigned after 6 months after the announcement.
