The city’s first modern food street will be built in Sector 15: Saurabh Joshi

He said that with the establishment of Zero Waste Food Street in Sector 15, it will serve as the first model market of the city.

Chandigarh : Ward Councilor Saurabh Joshi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and officials of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation for the Zero Waste Modern Food Street project started with Rs 1.15 crore under the first Smart City Project of Chandigarh in his ward number 12.

He said that with the establishment of Zero Waste Food Street in Sector 15, it will serve as the first model market of the city.

Joshi appealed to the concerned officers working on the pilot project of Modern Food Street to be built in Sector 15 under his ward, to complete this work as soon as possible, so that he can gift this smart market to the residents of his ward as soon as possible.

Joshi said that this modern market will be endowed with features like plastic free along with a pleasant environment for shopkeepers and customers along with non-motorized traffic and a friendly environment for the disabled.

Joshi said that it is my dream to transform this area into an ultra modern and most beautiful area and this project is the beginning of this dream.

Saurabh Joshi also appreciated the tireless efforts of Anindita Mitra, Municipal Commissioner and CEO, Chandigarh Smart City Limited, who brought the vision of this project to the city.

On this occasion, the local ward residents and shopkeepers also appreciated and thanked their councilor for doing wonderful work for the upliftment of the area.
