In a major breakthrough, the Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab has arrested two associates of of Gurpreet Lehmbar & Jassa Nurwala Gang. The arrested accused are Jagdeep Singh alias Rinku and Balwinder Singh alias Babbu.
The gang with which they are linked is involved in multiple heinous crimes such as Murder, Attempt to Murder, Kidnapping, and Extortion, in the areas of Ludhiana, Jagraon, Moga, Bathinda, and Sangrur.
As per the police, the arrested accused have a criminal history. Rinku was a proclaimed offender in an attempt to murder case registered in Moga. The other accused, Babbu, in June 2023 had fired upon a STF Team at Neelona, Ludhiana, and was absconding since.
A preliminary investigation has revealed that the arrested accused were carrying out criminal activities on the directions of absconding gangsters Lehmbar & Nurwala.
Along with the arrest, police also recovered 2 pistols & 10 live cartridges
