Lok Sabha Polls 2024: Punjab to undergo voting on June 1, result on June 4

The elections will begin on 19 April and will conclude on June 1.

New Delhi: Lok sabha elections 2024 have been announced. The elections will begin on 19 April and will conclude on June 1. In total, the polls will be held in seven phases. The counting of the votes will be done on June 4, 2024.

Polling in Punjab

Punjab will undergo voting on June 1. The voting in the state will be held in the last phase which is the 7th phase. Along with Punjab, neighboring state Himachal Pradesh and UT Chandigarh will also undergo voting on June 1.

As per EC, the issue of Gazzete notification will be on May 7. The last date of filing nominations is May 14 after which scrutiny of Nominations will be done on May 15. Elections for all 13 seats of the state will be on June 1 following which the counting of votes will be held on June 4 along with all other states.

Apart from this, Polling in some areas of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha and West Bengal will also be held in the 7th phase.

Polling in Haryana will be held on 6th phase which is on 25th May.
