Mandi : A major accident has occurred in Mandi of Himachal Pradesh on Friday morning. Three Punjabi youths have been died in this accident. The accident took place when the jeep fell into a deep ravine. The police have removed the bodies and the identification of the deceased is being done.

According to available information, the jeep fell into a 300 meter deep trench near Tehri in Drang on the Mandi-Bajora via Kataula highway. Three youths died in the accident. The three young men were from Punjab and were engaged in dairy business. All the three youths were returning to Punjab after providing logistics in Manali.

Ashok Kumar, in-charge of Thana Sadar, said that as soon as the information about the accident was received, a team led by Command Police Station In-charge Alam Ram was dispatched to the spot. The bodies were stuck in a deep ditch. A rescue operation has been launched with the help of local people. After this, the dead bodies were taken out with great difficulty.

DSP Dinesh Kumar said that the three youths are said to be residents of Punjab. Their full identity has not been ascertained yet. Police are investigating the matter. According to the documents of the vehicle found at the spot, the Jeep (PB 12-Q 9033) is in the name of Jasveer Singh, a resident of Ropar, Punjab.
