Jalandhar (Punjab): In Jalandhar, Punjab, a fraudster managed to sell the same plot of land to three different buyers, making a fraud of nearly 78 lakh rupees. The Division number-8 police have filed an FIR in this case and identified the accused as Shailendra Kumar, who was already a fugitive in an old fraud case.
The police are still looking for him. Indrajit Singh, a resident of Jawahar Nagar, gave a complaint to the police stating that Shailendra Kumar showed him a plot of land near Jalandhar-Pathankot Bypass Chowk and made him deposit a large sum of money as a down payment.
But when Indrajit asked to complete the registration process, Shailendra Kumar repeatedly delayed it and finally refused to do it. After that, Indrajit filed a complaint in the police station and during the investigation, the police found out that the owner of the plot, Shailendra Kumar, had already taken 78 lakh rupees from three people for the same plot. The police are conducting raids at his possible locations to arrest him soon.
