Bharu : There is a growing opposition to the ongoing farmer protests at the Punjab-Haryana border, and now it is expected to have an impact on the Lok Sabha elections as well.
After the announcement of opposition to BJP leaders in Punjab’s rallies by the farmers, now the opposition has started in the villages as well. In Bharu village of the Gidderbaha assembly constituency under Muktsar Sahib, a board banning the entry of BJP leaders has been put up by the locals.
The residents of Bharu village, which falls under the Faridkot Lok Sabha constituency, have imposed a ban on the entry of BJP leaders in their village. The board put up by the locals reads, “The Bharu village fully boycotts the Bharatiya Janata Party. No BJP leader should come to the village. If any BJP leader comes to the village, they will be responsible for the consequences.”
