Sanjay Singh gets bail
After a long period of 7 months, Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh get bail. Today, the Supreme Court granted bail to Sanjay Singh.
On the bail given by SC, the probe agency has said that it has ‘no objection to bail given’.
Sanjay Singh was arrested on October 4, 2023, by the Enforcement Directorate in the alleged money laundering case related to the now scrapped Delhi liquor policy.
The bench comprising Justices Sanjiv Khanna, Dipankar Datta and PB Varale clarified that Singh would be entitled to indulge in political activities during the period of bail. The bench also stated that the order will not be treated as a precedent.
