So far only Bhartiya Janta Party has announced its candidate from the Jalandhar seat, who is further an AAP turncoat. Rinku’s name for the seat was announced in AAP’s first list but Rinku Chose BJP over AAP and joined the saffron party along with another MLA from Jalandhar.

If talk about Congress, then it is said that the party can prefer the face of former CM Charanjit Singh Channi over Karamjit Kaur in Jalandhar as it suits the caste-based scenario of the seat. Channi became popular after he replaced Captain Amrinder Singh as CM of Punjab. Lately, Channi held meetings with party workers in Jalandhar. He also celebrated his birthday and what fueled speculations of Channi’s candidature from Jalandhar was cake titled, ‘Saada Channi Jalandhar’.
