Lok Sabha Polls: Punjab IAS Officer Karnail Singh resigns, second bureaucrat to resign

His retirement is due in September of this year and just 5 months before he has tendered his resignation.

Chandigarh: Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, After the resignation of IAS Parampal Kaur, Sikander Singh Maluka’s daughter-in-law now another IAS officer of Punjab has resigned.

  2015 batch IAS officer Karnail Singh has resigned from his post. He has sent his resignation to the Chief Secretary.

  Karnail Singh was awaiting a posting since January 30 when he was removed from the post of DC Kapurthala. He served as the Staff Officer to the then Chief Secretary VK Janjua and was appointed as DC by Janjua.

 Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that his retirement is due in September of this year and just 5 months before he has tendered his resignation.

 A few days ago IAS officer Parampal Kaur also resigned from her post. Thus Karnail Singh will be the second IAS officer of State to resign after Parampal Kaur.
