Ticket denied, BJP leader Vijay Sampla likely to join SAD: Sources

Speculations are also being made that he is in talks with Congress, but if sources are to be believed, the Shiromani Akali Dal is looking much stronger than the Congress.

Hoshiarpur: During the Lok Sabha elections, politics is completely on fire. Disgruntled leaders are switching parties to maintain their image.

Similarly, after leaving the Congress, Dr. Raj Kumar Chabewal had joined AAP and now within the BJP, Vijay Sampla, who has been Punjab President, Union Minister of State, Chairman of the SC ST Commission, may leave the BJP today and join the Shiromani Akali Dal due to his displeasure with the BJP high command.

Speculations are also being made that he is in talks with Congress, but if sources are to be believed, the Shiromani Akali Dal is looking much stronger than the Congress.

The cause behind Vijay Sampla’s switch to SAD can be ascertained as he was not given ticket from Hoshiarpur seat. It was expected that BJP will field Vijay Sampla from Hoshiarpur but instead BJP gave ticket to Anita Som Prakash, wife of incumbent MP.

Disturbed by this, Vijay Sampala may join the Shiromani Akali Dal today. It is worth mentioning that in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, due to the alliance of the Shiromani Akali Dal and the BJP, Vijay Sampla won the Lok Sabha elections.

Similarly, Shiromani Akali Dal is now fielding its candidates in 13 seats of Punjab after separating from BJP. Vijay Sampla can be a strong candidate from Hoshiarpur constituency.
