Chandigarh: The Meteorological Department in Punjab has issued an alert regarding rain. These changes are due to the once again active western disturbance. Many areas of Punjab have been cloudy since morning. Due to the yellow alert, along with rain, winds may blow at a speed of 40 km in Punjab. At the same time, people have got some relief from the increasing heat in last 2 days.
Alert for Rain in Punjab
According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued regarding rain in Mansa, Sangrur, Barnala, Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Bathinda, Ludhiana, Moga, Firozpur, Jalandhar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala and Amritsar of Punjab. There will be strong winds here today and there will be rain along with thunder.
According to the Meteorological Department, the coming three days will be intermittently cloudy and there will be rain in some districts of Punjab. This season will provide relief from the heat for some time, but later the average temperature will now see an increase.
City wise IMD predictions
Amritsar- The city will remain cloudy today. There is a possibility of rain and strong winds. The temperature is expected to be around minimum 20 degrees and a maximum 34 degrees.
Jalandhar- Today there will be light clouds in the city. There are also chances of rain. The temperature is expected to be around minimum 20 degrees and maximum 34 degrees.
Ludhiana- It will be cloudy today. A warning of rain and storm has also been issued. The temperature is expected to be between 22 to 35 degrees.
Patiala- There will be intermittent cloud cover in the city today. At the same time, there are chances of rain also. The minimum temperature is expected to be around 22 degrees and the maximum temperature is expected to be around 37 degrees.
Mohali- There will be intermittent clouds in the city today. The temperature is expected to be around minimum 21 and maximum 36 degrees.
