Jalandhar: Horrible accident has unfolded in Jalandhar. As per the initial information, the speeding milk tanker crashed into vehicles leaving more than 15 injured. The accident which has left more than dozen people injured took place near Jalandhar-Pathnkot bypass. As per reports, the driver of the speeding tamker was not able to apply brakes timely following which it rammed into the vehicles.
As per the initial information received, the speeding milk tanker rammed into autos and cars on the road. The Horrific accident left nearly 15 people injured. After the accident, injured people were rushed to nearby Hospital for treatment.
Many vehicles were badly damaged in this accident. According to the police, the number of injured is around 15, out of which 5 people have got fractures in their legs while two people are seriously injured. The injured were immediately taken to the hospital.
Police personnel ASI Baljit Singh, who reached the spot, told that there was a red light in Pathankot Bypass Chowk and 8-10 vehicles were there on the road. The tanker came from behind and did not apply brakes due to which the whole incident happened. Fortunately, no casualty has been reported . Police further mentioned that the tanker was coming from Jalandhar PAP and was going to Amritsar. Police assured that necessary action will be taken in this matter.
