Punjab Breaking: Congress announces 4 candidates, fields PPCC Chief Raja Warring from Ludhiana

Congress has fielded PPCC Chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring from Ludhiana Constituency against Ravneet Singh Bittu.

New Delhi: In its third list for Punjab, the Congress has announced names of 4 candidates. Congress has fielded PPCC Chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring from Ludhiana Constituency against Ravneet Singh Bittu. With this, Congress has so far announced 12 candidates and is yet to announce its candidate from the Ferozepur seat.

Here’s the list shared by Congress:

Following the rounds of Congress Election Committee meetings, today Punjab Congress announced the list of four candidates. Party has fielded Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa from Gurdaspur, Kulbir Singh Zira From Khadoor Sahib. Yesterday, SAD announced Virsa Singh Valtoha as its candidate from Khadoor Sahib.

Party fielded Vijay Inder Singla from Anandpur Sahib. Congress has a stronghold in Anandpur Sahib. Singla will be contesting election against the ruling party AAP Candidate Malvinder Singh Kang.

Following Ravneet Bittu’s switch to BJP, Congress declared that it would be fielding a strong face against him and today announced Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Punjab Pradesh Congress Chief as its candidate. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring is MLA from Gidderbaha and a prominent sikh face of the party.
