Ticket Denied from Sangrur; Former MLA Dalvir Singh Goldy likely to join AAP

Chandigarh: Former MLA from Sangrur and Ex-Congress leader Dalvir Singh Goldy, who tendered his resignation yesterday is likely to join the cadre of ruling state government led by Aam Aadmi Party. Yesterday, Goly resigned from the primary membership of Congress. He was also holding post of Sangrur District Chief.

Apparently, Dalvir Singh Goldy wished ticket from Sangrur Lok Sabha Seat and following the announcement of Sukhpal Singh Khaira’s name he expressed his displeasure and yesterday resigned from the membership of Congress.

Now it is also anticipated that post his resignation from Congress, he can join Aam Aadmi Party today. He is expected to reach residence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann where he might join the party.

AAP has given ticket to Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer from the Sangrur Lok Sabha seat. If Meet Hayer win, then in such situation, AAP might field Dalvir Singh Goldy from the Barnala Assembly seat, which is currently held by Meet Hayer.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will be holding an important press conference.
