Ranjit Singh quit his MLA seat, joins BJP

Ranjit Singh Chautala quit his seat as an independent MLA seat from Raniya.

Haryana : Ranjit Singh Chautala, former independent MLA from Raniya and BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Hisar seat, who joined BJP, reached the Assembly today for verification. This has been confirmed by Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta. He has verified that I have sent the resignation letter and not under any pressure.  The speaker said that the resignation has been accepted from 24th March.

The resignation of Electricity and Jail Minister Ranjit Chautala, who won the independent election from Raniya assembly seat in Sirsa district of Haryana, has been accepted from the membership of the assembly. Ranjit Chautala has not resigned from the post of Electricity and Jail Minister.

Therefore, he will remain the Minister of Electricity and Jail for the next six months from March 24, the date of his resignation from the membership of the Assembly.
