Fatehgarh Sahib: National hockey player Sumandeep Kaur commit suicide after clash with her bother and sister in law village Nalina Khurd in Fatehgarh Shaib .
It has been reported that a hockey player Sumandeep Kaur has committed suicide due to sadness caused by her brother and sister-in-law. The Mulepur police station has registered a case against the brother and sister-in-law, and the brother has been arrested.
SHO Prithvi Raj has provided information on the matter, stating that Jaspal Singh, son of Bant Singh Basi of village Nalina Khurd, filed a complaint that he has three daughters and one son, with two daughters and one son already being married.
His son Bikramjit Singh got married about 5 months ago. This is his son’s first marriage and daughter-in-law Pinky’s second marriage. His younger daughter Sumandeep Kaur was a national hockey player and was studying MA Punjabi from Patiala University.
Sumandeep always complained that her brother Bikramjit Singh and his wife Pinky always harassed her. Sumandeep Kaur left the house yesterday. She went and ended her life by jumping into the canal. Sumandeep Kaur’s body has been found from the canal.
Police have registered a case against Bikramjeet Singh and his wife Pinky on the statements of Jaspal Singh and arrested Bikramjeet Singh, while Pinky is absconding.
