Jalandhar : A 34-year-old youth, resident of Patti Sekhon of Jamsher Khas, adjacent to Jalandhar Cantt, Punjab, murdered in Dubai. The deceased has been identified as Pankaj Daul, son of Balwinder.
The colleagues working with Pankaj had informed this to his younger brother Gurpreet Daul alias Gopi at around 9.30 pm. There is a wave of mourning in the entire village after Pankaj’s death.
The incident took place in Akloj city while returning from Gurudwara.
According to the information received, Pankaj Daul was returning from a Gurudwara located in Alkoz, Dubai on Sunday after paying obeisance. During this time, some turban wearing youth had a minor dispute with Pankaj.
The matter escalated so much that youth attacked Pankaj with sharp weapons. After the incident the accused fled from there. Blood soaked Pankaj kept writhing in pain at the crime scene. After some time he died on the spot.
After some time the accused were caught by the police
At the same time, Pankaj’s friends coming from behind tried to stop the said accused, but the accused fled from there. After which Alkoz City Police reached the spot for investigation. The police immediately took possession of the body and started investigating the case.
After some time, the police arrested the said murderers from the city. Gopi told that Pankaj had gone to Dubai about 13 years ago. He worked as a foreman in a private company.
