Punjab: Congress candidates Khaira and Gandhi files their nominations

On Wednesday, Congress' Punjab unit President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring accompanied party candidates Sukhpal Singh Khaira and Dharamvir Gandhi as they submitted their nominations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Chandigarh : On Wednesday, Congress’ Punjab unit President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring accompanied party candidates Sukhpal Singh Khaira and Dharamvir Gandhi as they submitted their nominations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Khaira, a three-time legislator, is contesting from Sangrur, while Gandhi, a former MP with a long history of charity work, is contesting from Patiala.

Following the nomination filing, Warring mobilized support from constituents in Patiala and Sangrur towns, underlining the party’s commitment to serving Punjab’s interests.

He stressed the importance of unity and collective action in addressing the state’s challenges, advocating for progressive policies and effective governance.

Warring praised the leadership qualities of Khaira and Gandhi, highlighting their dedication and integrity in serving the people. In Sangrur, the AAP has fielded Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, while in Patiala, four-time Congress MP Preneet Kaur is contesting on the BJP ticket for the first time.

Punjab is set to hold elections for all 13 parliamentary seats on June 1.
