Patiala: Preneet Kaur, candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party from Patiala Lok Sabha seat, filed nomination today. Before filing the nomination, Preneet Kaur, Member of Parliament from Patiala, paid obeisance at the historical Burj Baba Ala Singh Ji in Patiala. During the filing of nomination papers, her daughter Jai Inder Kaur was also seen.
On her X handle, she shared pictures from the Burj Baba Ala Singh. She wrote, “Paid my obeisance at Burj Baba Ala Singh ji today before filling my nomination papers.”
Sharing picture while filing nomination, Preneet Kaur said, “Filled my nomination papers as the candidate of @BJP4India from Patiala today. May Waheguru ji bless me in this new political journey.”
Many prominent contenders will be filing their nominations. BJP candidate from Hoshiarpur Anita Somprakash, Akali Dal candidate from Bathinda Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Sohan Singh Thandal from Hoshiarpur, Daljit Cheema from Gurdaspur, AAP candidate from Gurdaspur Sherry Kalsi, Kuldeep Dhaliwal from Amritsar, Balbir Singh from Patiala, will file their nomination today.
Today is the second last day of filing nomination for seventh and last phase of elections. Tomorrow, i.e. 14th May is the last day for filing nominations. Punjab will undergo polling on June 1. Results will be declared on June 4.
