Due to farmer agitation, trains cancelled

Many trains have been cancelled, daily communters are waiting for end of protest soon.

Kurukshetra : Due to the farmer’s protest, impact is being seen on the rail traffic for the last few days, due to which, while the daily passengers are facing problems. The Railways is also facing losses worth lakhs due to the cancellation of trains.

Railway Station is expected to suffer a loss of Rs 50 lakh so far. There is a continuous decline in the number of passengers at the station. The shopkeepers located at the station are also waiting for the farmers’ movement to end as the work is half done. Now, they are likely to get profit in business, as thier business is also affecting from this, only when after the farmers movement ends. To reach many cities of Punjab, or other place passengers now have to depend on other means, which is affecting both time and money.

According to railway officials, many trains have been run from Ambala-Chandigarh route to Punjab, so that the passengers can get relief, while the rail traffic has been affected due to the farmers’ movement, due to which there has been a decrease in the passengers at Kurukshetra railway station. Due to which there is a minimum loss of two lakh rupees every day.
