Baba Balwinder Singh’s murder case: 19 year old killer caught after 12 days

Baba Balwinder Singh, nephew of Sant Kartar Singh Bhindran Wala and 13th head of Damdami Taksal, was murdered on April 30 and the killer turned out to be Baba Balwinder Singh's servant, who has been absconding ever since.

The Batala police have achieved great success by arresting the 19-year-old killer from Batala.

SSP Batala Ashwani Gutial told during the press conference that Ramandeep Singh, was a resident of Salahpur, used to serve under Babaji.

On the night of April 30, while massaging Baba Balwinder Singh’s feet, Ramandeep had an argument with Baba Balwinder Singh over something. He stabbed Baba Balwinder Singh with knife and he died on the spot.

SSP Batala said that the accused had escaped from the spot and his phone was switched off due to which there was a lot of difficulty in catching him.

He was arrested from Batala on May 13 as the police teams were continuously tracking him. He said that the accused Ramandeep Singh wanted to become a Granthi after taking the oath of Gurbani. However, he stands accused of fatally assaulting Baba Balwinder Singh during a dispute that night. The SSP said that the suspect Ramandeep is being interrogated further.
