100 days of Farmers’ Protest 2.0; Protest rally at Shambhu border today

Chandigarh: The farmers’ protest 2.0 which began from Khanauri border has completed 100 days today. Today on the completion of 100 days, a big gathering will be there at the border today. In fact, on the invitation of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha Sangharsh Committee, farmers and laborers have been agitating at the Punjab Haryana border. Today this movement of farmers has completed 100 days.

On completion of 100 days, protests, meetings and conferences of farmers will be held. A big protest rally will be held at the Shambhu border. Also there will be discussion on the next course of action of farmers.

Farmers have been sitting on a dharna at the Shambhu border since February 13 for their rightful demands. Farmers were protesting for the fulfillment of demands and promises that were made to them earlier. Major demand include a legal provision of MSP for all crops.

During the protests, farmers got injured during an altercation with the Haryana Police. Many farmers lost their lives. Death of young farmer Shubh Karan Singh was also discussed a lot. Even the temperature is soaring and whole Punjab is experiencing a heatwave, farmers are sticked to the borders.

Farmer leaders who have been on strike for 34 consecutive days at Shambhu railway station on the Delhi-Amritsar railway route in the conference told that they will be holding a big rally on May 22. Earlier, Farmers ended their strike at the Shambhu Railway station which was causing a lot of problems to the daily passengers and commuters.
