Breaking News: Jalandhar-Ludhiana Police Commissioners Relocated to Non-Election Roles

In Punjab, the Election Commission removed the police commissioners of Jalandhar-Ludhiana; Both IPS ordered for non-election duty.

Punjab: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has transferred two Punjab Police officers from their current posts to non-election duties.

On the complaint of Political Parties Election Commission of india has transferred the two IPS rank officers Jalandhar CP Sawpan Sharma and Police commissioner of Ludhiana Kuldeep Singh chahal with immediate affect.

In Punjab, the Election Commission removed the police commissioners of Jalandhar-Ludhiana; Both IPS ordered for non-election duty.

In a letter to the Chief Secretary of Punjab, the ECI has directed that the two officers be assigned to non-election-related duties. Additionally, the Commission has asked the Chief Secretary to provide a panel of three eligible officers for each of the positions to be filled in Jalandhar and Ludhiana.

Some of the political leaders lodged the complaint to the EC that these both the ips officers have been performing there duty according to the current party government.

Now state administration place them at non-election duty.
