The voting time should be extended and orders should be given to hold the voting time from 6 am to 7 pm.

Punjab: Due to increasing heat in Punjab, Punjab BJP State President
Sunil Jakhar wrote a letter to the Election Commission and has demanded change in timings. Sunil Jhakar demands

In a letter addressed to the Chief Election Commissioner of India and the Chief Electoral Officer, it has been asked to increase the morning and evening timings.

Jakhar has said in the letter that with the last phase of Lok Sabha general elections to be held on June 1, voters will have to face intense heat in Punjab. It will become extremely challenging for voters to cast their vote in the scorching heat. The intense heat will pose a health risk. This can be especially fatal for vulnerable groups like the elderly and children.

To ensure more voting and to protect public health, I request on behalf of Punjab BJP that the voting time should be extended and orders should be given to hold the voting time from 6 am to 7 pm.

Voting is to be held from 7 am to 6 pm.

At present, the voting is being started by the Election Commission at 7 am and the votes are to be cast till 6 pm. BJP State President’s demand is that voting should be done one hour earlier in the morning till 6 o’clock and one hour more in the evening till 7 o’clock.
It should be done.
