Himachal Pradesh: In Baga-Bhalag of Solan district, the residents of the area have announced to take back the possession of the land and houses occupied by the cement industry. People have written letters to this effect to the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and Deputy Commissioner Solan.

The villagers say that if their natural sources, roads and other places are not restored in time, they will start a movement to take back their possession. In the letter sent to the Chief Minister, the villagers have alleged that their lands and houses have been acquired illegally by the cement companies by the government and the company in blatant violation of Rule 4 of the Land Acquisition Company Act. The company is causing huge harm to the environment through dumping.

He says that neither the company nor the government has yet made arrangements for housing and allotment of plots and land to the homeless people. Apart from this, the company has not yet given full compensation for the lands and houses. The company is destroying the environment and has not completely restored all the water sources, roads, paths, ritual pond, Narasimha temple Bhalag and bus stand Bhalag etc.

People say that if this does not happen, then all the residents of Bhalag village and farmers of other panchayats will be forced to protest. Also, if plots and land are not made available for living, then all the villagers will take back the possession of their houses and lands. Advocate Nandlal Chauhan said that he is also a resident of this area and has also written a letter to the Chief Minister regarding his legitimate demands. If the company does not implement their demands then an agitation will be started.
