Jalandhar: no-fly zone for 9 hours tomorrow, Section 144 imposed ahead of PM Modi’s rally

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is arriving for an election rally in Jalandhar tomorrow i.e. Friday. Due to this, the entire city has been declared a no fly zone by the Jalandhar administration.

These orders were issued by ADC Jalandhar Dr. Amit Mahajan on Thursday afternoon. Dr. Amit Mahajan said that Section 144 has been implemented in the district. On the basis of which flying objects of any kind have been completely banned in the district.

In which the flight of civil remote, pilot aircraft systems, drones, helicopters (except the Prime Minister’s helicopter), VVIP helicopters and aircraft etc. has been banned. These orders will be in force tomorrow (May 24) from around 1 pm to around 9 pm.


Route diverted from many places before PM’s visit
Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Phagwara police have diverted the route from different places for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jalandhar. Police has issued a route plan for vehicles going from Amritsar to Ludhiana, Ludhiana to Amritsar and Ludhiana to Himachal Pradesh and Pathankot.

Due to security reasons, this diversion will be from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. At the same time, security has been increased by the district police regarding the PM’s election campaign.
