Punjab: Firozpur Police has exposed a blind murder. The accused first beat the deceased to death, then took him on a motorcycle and brought him from Tarn Taran to Firozpur district and shot him in the head.
Firozpur Police, after working hard on the dead body of an unknown youth found on the unpaved track near the Old Hari Head Bridge on May 9, has identified and arrested three murderers who murdered the deceased youth, one of whom is a minor accused.
Team formed to catch the accused and Firozepur’s SSP Soumya Mishra said that on May 9, Makhu police station had received information that a blood-soaked body of an unidentified youth of about 32 years was lying there, with injury marks on his head and his hands and mouth tied.
He told that a case was registered by the police in Makhu police station regarding this murder. To trace this blind murder, teams of CIA staff Firozpur and Police Station Makhu were formed under the leadership of SP Investigation Firozpur Randhir Kumar, DSP Investigation Balkar Singh and DSP Zira Gurdeep Singh.
Upon investigation, it was found that the dead body belonged to Jashanpreet Singh, son of Jaswinder Singh, resident of village Gorkha, district Tarn Taran. He told that by taking the help of intelligence and technical sources, the mystery of this blind murder was solved by the formed teams and the police arrested Navdeep Singh alias son of Nirvair Singh, resident of Quarter No. 8, Amritsar Road, on the charge of murdering Jashanpreet, then the accused arrested him. Jaskaran alias Jass son of Darbar Singh resident of Plot Basti Harike and a juvenile have been arrested by force on the motorcycle.
SSP said that after interrogating the arrested alleged murderers, it has come to light that the named persons had an old khundak with Jashnpreet, for which the arrested alleged murderers first beat him to death and made him sit near Hari’s bridge. He was taken to the unpaved track where he was killed by shooting bullets in his head.
He told that during interrogation, the murder accused admitted that they, along with their other associates, had snatched a motorcycle from a person near Mansoorwal village of Police Station Sadar Jira, 2 days before carrying out the incident and after that they had snatched a motorcycle from a person in the area of Police Station Sadar Moga. 60 thousand rupees were looted from the petrol pump.
20000 rupees were looted from a petrol pump near village Mandar in the area of police station Menkot Khan and 9800 rupees were looted from a toll plaza on ‘Makhu Road’ in Fatehgarh Panjtur area.
