Himachal Pradesh: Tourists in Himachal Pradesh now experience virtual journey of Himachal state in the Atal Tunnel Rohtang. The state tourism department is going to do this new experiment. The Tourism Department has prepared a special electric bus for this. The bus is ready and Principal Secretary Tourism Devesh Kumar has inspected it. After completing its registration formalities, it will initially run from Solanganala to Sissu.

The Tourism Department decided to conduct this experiment because the number of tourists in Atal Tunnel Rohtang is continuously increasing. The journey within Atal Tunnel is about 10 minutes by bus. To take advantage of this time, the tourists crossing the tunnel through this bus will be taken to see Himachal. Videos of all the major tourist places of Himachal will be played with sound effects and 3D view will be available. Therefore, within 10 minutes, tourists traveling by bus will be introduced to the major tourist spots of the state. After the opening of Atal Tunnel Rohtang, the number of tourists coming here is increasing rapidly every year. If we look at the figures of the last 1 year, a total of 25 lakh 76 thousand vehicles have crossed the Atal Tunnel between January 2022 and December 2023.

During the same period, 1 crore 4 lakh tourists have visited here. This number is increasing every year. The Tourism Department is trying to bring Atal Tunnel tourism to other districts of the state also. This concept of Virtual Himachal Darshan was actually thought by Principal Secretary Tourism Devesh Kumar. The tourism department took about 2 years to work on this project. The department has earmarked a cost of around Rs 10 crore for the project. Now the bus is ready and will run between Solanganala and Sissu. If the experiment is successful then the number of buses can be increased. This facility is being launched after the election code of conduct is lifted.
