New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu, former President Ram Nath Kovind joined the queue to cast vote in Delhi as the sixth phase of elections is underway. President Murmu joined the voters queue early in morning and performed her civic duty.
President Murmu joined the queue of voters at a polling station in Dr Rajesndra Prasad Kendriya Vidyalaya to cast her vote in Delhi. After casting her vote, she showed her inked finger. A post on X was also shared on the official page of President of India.
The post said,”President Droupadi Murmu joined the queue and cast her vote at the polling station in Dr. Rajendra Prasad Kendriya Vidyalaya inside the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex. It is a pink booth managed by women staff.”
Former President Ram Nath Kovind also reached at his polling booth to cast his vote. He casted vote along with his family and showed his inked finger. In a post on X, he said, “I exercised my voting rights along with my family. I urge all citizens to become partners in building a developed India by voting and strengthen the democracy of the country.”
6th Phase of Polling underway
6th phase of polling is underway in total 8 states and UTs. Voting will be done 58 seats. All 7 seven seats of National capital Delhi are also under poll in the 6th phase.
