Punjab: In Punjab, the Election Commission has started a new technology to save people from standing in queues at polling booths on the day of voting on June 1. It has been named Voter Queue Information System.

Through this, people will easily get all the information about this on their phones. This system has been prepared jointly by NIC Punjab and Meta.

State Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C said that to use the Voter Queue Information System, one has to send a message by typing ‘Vote’ on WhatsApp number 7447447217. After this they will receive a link. After clicking on which 2 options will appear.

After choosing the location wise option, the voter will have to share his location, after which a list of polling booths nearest to the voter’s house will appear on the mobile screen. After this, the voter will have to write the booth number and send it and information will immediately appear on the mobile screen as to how many voters are standing in the queue to cast their vote at that booth.

This option has to be selected for booth wise.

Sibin C further said that if the voter selects the second option booth wise, then after selecting the state of Punjab, he will have to select his district and all the assembly constituencies of that district will appear on the light screen. After choosing your assembly constituency, you will have to fill the respective booth number, through which the voter will be able to know the count of voters standing to vote at his booth.
