Token of Appreciation: Jay Shah announces reward for ground staff and curators

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has opened the treasury for the players as well as ground men and curators.

Chennai: Kolkata Knight Riders the IPL title yesterday for the third time. The winning team of IPL 2024 has received whooping amount of Rs 20 crore as prize money.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has announced to give Rs 25 lakh each to the ground staff and curators of 10 regular IPL venues. At the same time, the staff of three additional grounds will also get a huge amount.

Jay Shah has shared a post on X. Through this post he made a big announcement for the ground staff and curators. Jay Shah wrote on X, “The unsung heroes of our successful T20 season are the incredible ground staff who worked tirelessly to provide brilliant pitches, even in difficult weather conditions. As a token of our appreciation, the groundsmen and curators at the 10 regular IPL venues will receive INR 25 lakhs each, and the same at the 3 additional venues will get INR 10 lakhs each. Thank you for your dedication and hard work!”

If we talk about the prize money of IPL teams, the players have received crores of rupees. Kolkata Knight Riders have received Rs 20 crores. Sunrisers Hyderabad has received Rs 12.5 crore as reward. Rajasthan Royals will be getting Rs 7 crore whereas Royal Challengers Bangalore will get Rs 6.5 crore.

Let us tell you that Kolkata won the third IPL title. The team became champion for the first time in 2012. After this they won their second title in 2014 and now after 10 years, KKR has won their third title and emerged as champions.
