Vote for BJP for Drug-free Punjab: Sunil Jakhar’s appeal to voters ahead final phase of polling

Sunil Jakhar today said the answer to a drug-free Punjab lies in strengthening the saffron party both at the Center and the state.

Chandigarh: Giving a clarion call to vote for the BJP for a progressive Punjab, BJP Punjab President Sunil Jakhar today said the answer to a drug-free Punjab lies in strengthening the saffron party both at the Center and the state.

In a video message he said that Home Minister Amit Shah has already shown the resolve when he said the BJP will not only end the narcotic abuse in Punjab, the party will completely uproot the menace that Punjab is grappling with.

Watch here:

“Punjab requires a political will to root out drugs. If need be, the BJP will open new offices of the Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) and other stringent measures to weed out the menace from Punjab soil. Every vote for the BJP Punjab will save the generation,” Sunil Jakhar said.

He called upon the constituents to deliver a decisive mandate in favour of the BJP if Punjab were to be unbound from the clutches of fear and threat rampant under the AAP.

He said the AAP government stands exposed with unbridled rampant drug abuse and unemployment. “Today nobody wants to go to a minister’s doorstep fearing loss of dignity or outraging modesty. The sad part is that the Punjab Congress has timidly surrendered before Mann fearing police action,” he said.

A strong support base of the BJP is the need of the hour in Punjab to mitigate the sufferings that have plagued the state. “PM Modi walks the talk. He does what he says. He talked of opening the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor link, which he did. Be it the Guru RaviDass temple in Tuglakhabad or the Guru RaviDass airport in Punjab’s Adampur, there’s a firm commitment of PM Modi,” Jakhar said.

The polling on 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab will be held tomorrow, i.e. on June1.
