Kota: A day after the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-UG (NEET-UG) were declared, an 18-year-old candidate allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the ninth floor of a building in Kota, Rajasthan.
Police gave this information on Thursday. Police said that the deceased had been identified and she lived with her mother and brother on the fifth floor of the same building from where she committed suicide.
Police said that she was taken to a private hospital but she died during treatment. The girl is a native of Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh, was preparing for NEET-UG in a coaching institute in Kota.
Her brother is in class 12 and preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). The girl committed died by jumping from the building day after the announcement of results of NEET by National Testing Agency.
Police further added that family members and others immediately took her to a nearby private hospital where he died an hour later during treatment.
