Shimla: Taking a swipe at the BJP, Congress state President Himachal Pradesh and former MP Pratibha Singh has said that BJP need not be too happy with the results of the Lok Sabha elections as their slogan of ‘400 par’ tuned out to be complete failure.
She said even though Congress has lost all four Lok Sabha seats in the state, it has won four out of six seats in the assembly by-elections which means people trust the state government and stand strong with it
She further added that public opinion is paramount in democracy and Congress respects it completely. She said, “Congress government of the state is in full majority and will complete its term with full strength.”
Pratibha Singh described the statement of former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur as completely ridiculous as he was demanding resignation from Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.
Taking dig at Jairam Thakur, she said that the lesson of morality does not sound good from the mouth of Jairam Thakur. She said the results of the assembly by-polls are a testament to the fact that people of the state have completely rejected defection and money power.
