Chandigarh: District Kapurthala has secured the first position in Punjab in providing services related to various departments by registering the lowest pendency in providing citizen services through various service centers.
The pending rate of applications at the service centers of district Kapurthala is only 0.1 percent, which is the lowest compared to other districts of Punjab. 130,322 applications were received at the service centers for various citizen services, out of which only 0.1 percent applications were pending till June 8.
Giving information in this regard, DC Amit Kumar Panchal said that a few months ago Kapurthala was at 23rd position in Punjab in terms of providing these services. He also said that efforts will continue to provide transparent and seamless citizen services in the district.
DC Panchal said that due to the efforts of the employees of all 20 service centers in Kapurthala district, the number of pending cases has been the lowest. He informed that out of a total of 130322 applications, 124614 applications have been approved, while 1599 applications are under process.
Therefore, they have already been instructed to monitor the functioning of the service centers as well as provide services under pending applications as soon as possible. A total of 20 service centers are running in the district, where 436 civic services related to various departments are being provided to the people under one roof.
